As a child, it was always cool having friends with unique names. I liked the name Sofia when I heard it in high school, and vowed that if had a girl that would be her name. The day came when I found out I was pregnant, and being a single parent gave me the luxury of not having to compromise on the name, haha. Sofia to me was a cool way to spell it, and I didn’t know too many people with it. My 4 year old niece then informed me that Sofia was a princess on Disney. My daughter is one and a half, and to the day my niece thinks my daughter is her own real life princess cousin.
