Finding time to read isn’t always easy with a infant and so I was just now getting around to reading as I breast fed my infant. The Fault in Our Stars, John Green’s masterful story about the romance between two kids who just happen to have cancer. If you haven’t read it, do so asap. And if you’ve read the book, you know it only takes a few paragraphs before you fall in love with Hazel Grace, the “miracle” girl who survived a cancer that wrecked her lungs, forcing her to walk around trailing an oxygen tank that pipes better air through a tube under her nose. Hazel is a nature name, for the tree that gives us hazelnuts, and it’s also a color—a green-flecked brown eye hue. IT just seemed a little out date considering I had a recently deceased great grandmother and that was another excuse I guess for me to keep her legacy alive. As my last trimester approached I was swollen as a ox and actually past my due date and was told by the doctor that I needed a induced labor. 14 hours of pure hell and out came my princess Hazel and I would go thru it all over as many times as possible because she is worth it.
