When my husband and I found out we were having twins, we were ecstatic! For some reason we thought we were going to have a girl and a boy and decided that I would name our girl and he would name our boy. We agreed to be very open minded and each incorporate a special family name into our baby’s name. When it was time to ‘unveil’ our names, I presented him with Gabriella Zita (Zita being my grandmother’s name) and he presented me with…drum roll, please…Bruno Francisco (but we could call him Paco for short). This name was a culmination of this German grandfather and his Puerto Rican grandfather and he was very proud of the name. I could tell he felt very strongly about it when I started to gently question him to see if it was a joke (which it wasn’t) I didn’t have the heart to tell him there was no way I could call my son Bruno and figured I had a good 4 months to figure something out! Lucky for me (and my unborn child) at the next ultrasound, we found out we were having two girls! Welcome in Gabriella Zita and Madelyn Elizabeth born August 6, 2008!
